“THIS WORK IS ABOUT THE HUMAN LOSS OF LIFE CAUSED BY WAR AND IS DEMONSTRATED BY THE 101 PEOPLE THAT WORE THESE HELMETS IN BATTLE. THE CIRCULAR DISPLAY ENABLES THE AUDIENCE TO FREELY ENGAGE AND AMPLIFIES THE CONNECTION WITH THESE SOLDIERS, FROM MULTIPLE CONFLICTS THAT TOOK PLACE ACROSS THE WORLD OVER THE LAST ONE HUNDRED YEARS. THE 102ND POST, WITHOUT A HELMET, REPRESENTS THE UNKNOWN BATTLE AT THE TIME THE ARTWORK WAS COMPLETED.”
